The Bayside Café is a seafood and grill restaurant located on the Camps Bay beachfront. The Bayside is popular for breakfast, especially the pavement tables. Light lunches are also on offer with a large menu available for evening diners.
The restaurant is large and spread over two floors with natural stone walls, wooden floors, white table cloths, etc. There is a large smoking section downstairs and a non-smoking area upstairs.
The extensive menu includes burgers, grills, seafood, breakfasts, salads, ribs, curries and pastas.
Tips
- During the winter months the Bayside runs an excellent two for the price of one special on meals. The normal excellent quality and service persists and excellent value is to be had.
Getting There
- Get onto Victoria Road heading through Camps Bay
- The Bayside Café is on the left on the corner of Victoria and The Meadway (just before the open field)
Worth a visit!
I highly recommend the ribs and the winter special is such a bargain it's definitely worth a visit!
Winter special
The winter special makes for an excellent value-for-money option. There is a page at the back of the menu listing winter special options (includes steaks, ribs, pastas, seafood, etc). For every main course that you choose from the main menu, you get a free winter special option.
There are good choices available on the winter specials list so this isn't too limiting. Effectively one person can eat for free and you can have an excellent meal for two at just over R100!
