95 Keerom

Located in one of the oldest buildings in Cape Town (check out the interior walls downstairs) 95 Keerom is a stylish and modern restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff well trained and attentive. The owener, Giorgio comes around to every table to explain the menu and specials - although his accent can be hard to understand!

There is an "intimate" downstairs section with three smaller rooms with the original raw brickwork and plenty of wooden finishes. Upstairs is more open and clean with a live ancient wild olive tree providing a centerpiece.

The menu is Italian, although there isn't a pizza in sight. On the menu you will find seasonal salads, freshly home made pastas, a full list of raw and cooked carpaccios, fresh fish and ample classic Italian meat creations. Desserts like the liquid-centre white and dark chocolate soufflés are expensive but delicious.

95 Keerom is a great restaurant, but it lands up being expensive so save it for a special occasion.
