World of Birds is a bird and monkey sanctuary in Hout Bay which is home to more than 3,000 birds of 400+ species. There are over 100 aviaries and walkways where visitors can get up close to eagles, owls, cranes, monkeys, meerkats, and many other birds.

You can watch the feeding of birds every day except for Monday and Friday:

  • Penguins 11h30, 15h30
  • Pelicans 12h30
  • Cormorants 13h30
  • Birds of Prey 16h15

This is a fun visit for children and adults alike.

Tips
  • The squirrel monkey area can be particularly fun as these tiny monkeys are naturally inquisitive and playful. Make sure they don't get into your food!
  • There is a little cafĂ© for snacks, etc but you are welcome to bring your own picnic
