There is a vibrant corporate soccer league in Cape Town with about 50 teams competing during the 2008 seasons. The games are action packed 7-a-side matches played on a reduced size field with goals about the size of hockey goals.
There are several leagues and groupings including accountancy leagues, banking leagues, general leagues, lawyer's leagues, and women's league. In general the matches are competitive but most players are there to have fun.
The main Cape Town league plays at the Hellenic Greek Sporting Club on the fields in Mouille Point (there is also a league out of Milnerton). There are good facilities available and several fields. Good referees are provided by the league.
- Although this is chiefly for fun, the high price means that many teams take things pretty seriously. Try to get a relatively capable team together.
- The matches happen on the fields at the Hellenic Greek Sports Club in Mouille Point
- Get onto Bay Road which is just in from Beach Road and drive towards the Waterfront
- Very near the end you will see the parking area on your right and the sports club with floodlights and facilities
