The beautiful Winchester Mansions Hotel offers a superb brunch buffet in their restaurant and courtyard every Sunday. The buffet runs from 11:00 to 14:00 and offers a wide variety of very tasty food - everything from eggs to cakes to salads to fish.
This is a buffet meant to be enjoyed over a long stay. On arriving you receive a glass of bubbly and the Sunday paper and told to relax and enjoy yourself. All the way through brunch a live jazz band will be playing to help you really enjoy the experience.
When the weather is good tables are set up in the stunning courtyard where you are surrounded by plants, creepers, a fountain and the white colonial walls and columns of the hotel.
- Make sure that you book well in advance as this buffet is understandably very popular
- Try to book a table in the courtyard which really adds to the experience
The Winchester Mansions Hotel is on the left of Sea Point Main Road if you are heading away from town towards Camps Bay. It is at number 221 and has a white façade
Im feeling jazzy
This was one of the best Sundays I've had a really really long time.
I've recently had a very bad run of service in the hospitality business in Cape Town and was not really expecting much from Winchester hotel. However they have restored my faith and made what was going to be a very glum weekend a very uplifting one.
The food was excellent, the service was exceptional and they atmosphere was sensational.
I would definitely recommend this to all friends and family for every Sunday.
