Boulders Beach near Simons Town is a popular swimming spot sheltered by granite rocks and with good views across False Bay. It is particularly popular because it is home to a colony of more than 3,000 African Penguins.

While on the beach and in the water you are quite likely to bump into the little birds as they move around "their" beach.

There is also a little reserve from which visitors can view the busy little penguins in their natural areas. There are wooden walkways through the reserve and this makes a fun family outing.
