The Paulaner Brauhaus is a Bavarian restaurant and tavern in the Clocktower area of the V&A Waterfront. The menu consists of a variety of German dishes including of course schnitzels and sauerkraut. The restaurant is also a "genuine German microbrewery" producing and selling a variety of beers.
There is a large inside section with long tables and benches and a fairly large bar. The smoking section is thankfully quite small and in a separate room (smoking is allowed outside). There is also a large outside section with great views of the harbor and many tables under umbrellas. The Brauhaus is a fairly relaxed and 'jolly' venue.
- The Paulaner Brauhaus is located in the Clocktower area of the V&A Waterfront
- Probably the easiest way to get there is to go to the Waterfront and then walk across the bridge to the Clocktower area
- To park at the Clocktower take Coen Steytler at the bottom on Buitengraght (there are signs for the Waterfront)
- You will pass a large Caltex Garage and come to a traffic circle
- The Clocktower is marked as the second option from within the traffic circle
- Follow the signs to the parking area
